Sculpture and ceramicist Nora Naranjo Morse comes from a lineage of Santa Clara Pueblo potters. Having grown up with Pueblo visual expressions, Naranjo Morse implements this cultural knowledge in her own work. She is well known for using clay and other recycled materials to create new forms. For Naranjo Morse, ceramics can be both grounding and inventive, which is visible in the elongated constructions of The Black, White, and Brown of It.
